I am helping my daughter-in-law find her mother's birth father. the mother is 64 yrs old now and her mother, Edna still will not tell the birth father's name. Edna was 24 yrs old at the time... the birth was a baby girl, born 7-27-41 at Ft. Lewis WA...the name Jeffrey, Jeffreys, Jeffries??? may be involved but may not.... baby named Kathleen (Kate)?? assuming father was in the army since Ft. Lewis is a Army base...
