I have been looking for the ancestors of Granville H. Reynolds for over 15 years, with no success. Here is what I know about him: Born in Westernport, Alleghny Co., MD, 16 Aug 1825 Married Melvina Carroll (Fayette Springs Mission Methodist Church, Fayette Co, PA) in 1852. I have copy of marriage license. Moved to Indusrty McDouough Co, Illinois shortly after marriage where he farmed. Fought in the Civil War with the CO I of the 78th Illinois Volunteers. I have sword and scabbard, belt buckle and 2x3 picture Died in Industry, Mcdonough Co, Illinois 26 Jul 1874 Buried in Industry, Illinois, Melvina is buried in Galesburg,Knox Co, Illinois I have hints that more of the Reynolds family moved to Illinois with him (possibly his father and a brother), but nothing that I can even base a solid speculation on, so I won't mention it here.
