GOOD NEWS! This listing helped lead my birth son, Brian, to me and to his birth father. It actually surprised me that he found me less than 6 months after I posted this listing. I'm sure that's unusual, but this listing was essential in letting him know I wanted to hear from him, and how to contact me. I just wanted to share the happiness with everyone who's listed a post on this site, who is searching for a loved one -- and I hope their search yields such amazing results as mine did. I now have a wonderful relationship with my birth son and see him at least once a week, plus we talk on the phone, e-mail, etc. He has become "part of my family" in a way I would never have believed possible. I also have a relationship with his adopted family, which has enriched my life. My other children now have a "big brother" who is actively part of their lives, and that has brought joy to them and to me. I also want to tell those who maintain this website how appreciative I am and what a great service this provides to those of us who've gone through the life-altering experience of adoption (in one aspect or another). I never in a million years would have imagined I'd be spending last Christmas with all three of my children together. It was the happiest day of my life. Thank you again. Here is my listing that helped Brian find me: I gave birth to a boy on May 30, 1987, at Cottonwood Hospital in Murray, Utah. I believe the exact time of birth was 5:50 p.m. He was placed through LDS social services on June 1, 1987. I was told that in the family he was going to, he would have an older sibling (girl), also adopted, perhaps 2 years older than he. At birth, he weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. At the time he was born, I was 19 and was attending the University of Utah on a piano scholarship. His father was also a student at the University of Utah. Given the family coloring that both the father and I have, it is very likely this boy has sandy hair or red hair, and probably either blue or green eyes. He had red hair at birth. One other bit of information I was given about his adopted parents was given to me through a letter they sent me shortly after his placement. One of the parents has a large extended family, with perhaps 11 siblings, all of whom seemed to be active in the LDS church. I still stay in touch with the father and both he and I would be happy to provide any information this child might be looking for.
