I am a male who was born on 4-14-63 in Waiblingen, Germany. I was adopted in 1965 when I was 2years old from an orphanage in Waiblingen, Germany. My birthmother met with my adopted father and knows his name. She wanted to make sure that she found a loving couple who would love me unconditonally and provide for me. My birth mother at the time was in medical school. The birth father was not in the picture. There were no courts involved. At the time of the adoption my adoptive parents lived in France for Belgium. My adoptive father was the Treasurer of the Belgium Division of The Caterpillar Tractor Company. My adoptive father died in 1974 when I was 11yrs. old. My adoptive mother died in 1988 when I was 25yrs. old. My adoptive mother gave me some information to find my birth mother before she passed away. My birth name was Helmut Rudolf Gabauer. (I am pretty sure that is how the last name is spelled.) My birth mother's name is Ingrid Gabauer. She would be between 57 and 59 years old now. I don't want to give out my adoptive parents name, because I need to have something to hold on too that she will only know, so I will know it is really her. I have brown hair and big blue eyes. I went to college and I am an Engineer. I am presently getting my papers ready to get my original birth certificate. On my passport it says that I was born in Germany. I am now 42 years old and I live on the East Coast near Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States of America. I am hoping to contact my birth mother and I admire her for her courageous and brave decision to have me adopted. She picked a wonderful couple who loved me and raised me well. I miss them both very much, but I would like to know more about my heritage and my birth mother. I wish my birth mother well and if she wants to keep it quiet about our meeting online or on the phone, I will respect her wishes.
