I am trying to find information to locate records of my Great Aunt, Helen Mary (HARWOOD-maiden) Meissner. She was born in 1889 in Minnesota, and moved to the Joliet, Illinois (Will County) area. Helen married Charles Roesling or Roehling Meissner about 1916, exact date and place unknown. They had 4 sons, born between about 1917 until possibly the mid 1920's. There was a rough draft of a "Family Tree" written by one son who listed 1927 as her year of death, but nothing further. This family apparently moved from Illinois to Ohio and finally New Jersey, I think....I've found them in Census records, but details are confusing. The "Family Tree" I mentioned has more details, such as 1931 being the year Charles R. Meissner re-married and to whom; their child's name, and 1956 as the year of death for Charles. I have a few records of one son which show him as living & dying in New Jersey, along with the name of someone who may be his son. My gut instinct tells me to try and check the New Jersey Death Index for 1927, but if anyone out ther can help me get through this Brick Wall I'd be eternally grateful!
