I am trying to research my father's family. My GF is James C. Griffith. His birthplace is listed as KY. His obituary lists a sister, Mrs. W.E. Faraday, and a brother Samuel A. Griffith (Samuel moved to Montreal, CA). GF worked for the IC railroad in Memphis, TN during 1910-26. Through some search, I found that my GGF is Lewis Griffith, born in 1815, resided in Ponds Creek, Muhlenberg co., KY. Lewis m. Julia Armstrong. I believe Lewis's father or grandfather to be James Griffith (PA/Maryland) m. Jane Rose (b. 1790, KY).
