MY great grandfather KARL SCHAUFERT (born c. 1858) BAVARIA GERMANY emigrated with his brother to PENNSYLVANIA USA. They established a hotel/restaurant business. Charles returned to LONDON and persuaded GERTRUDE BAUER (born 1858 only daughter of Christian GOTTLOB BAUER who had left Wurttemburg for london in 1857) to follow him to PHiladelphia, c. 1881+ They had a child there who died They returned to London by 1887 where they had 3 children and worked in the hotel business. My grandmother Beatrice Maud Pennell was contacted in the 1960's by German relatives. I have no info' re Karl's family, brother, birth marriage, American child..Any help most appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
