GULLEY > PICKEL : Looking for any info. on the spouse of Nancy Levenia GULLEY who married Washington Jackson PICKEL (aka Wash or W.J.) in Cherry Ridge, Union Parish LA on March 28, 1855. All that we know of him is that he was born on 10 Mar 1825 in TN - but not exactly where or who his parents or siblings were. Nancy L. Gulley Pickel was born 21 Apr 1837 in AL - to James Haywood GULLEY (b. 14 Nov 1814 NC) and Mary Ellen PURIFOY (b. 28 Jun 1820 GA). I have ancestor info. on these two. Nancy and Wash are my great-grandparents - and I have the info. on their descendants, children, etc. I have not been able to make any connections for W.J. Pickel prior to his marriage at age 30 in 1855. He doesn't show up on the 1850 Union Parish census. I'm hoping that of the many Gulley folks out there who have family papers, letters, diaries, etc. might have some bit of info. on W.J. Pickel. Any info. would really be appreciated. Thanks!
