I'm looking for the parents of Augustus J. Mullen (born in 1858 - New York) who married Nettie I. Babcock (born in 1860 - Illinois) about 1890 in San Francisco. Nettie is the daughter of Albert S. Babcock and Stella Bundy. Augustus is the son of Mary Ann Leddy (of New York) and a John Mullen who was born in Ireland. The earliest records I've found on Mary Leddy was from the U.S. Census 1870, when she moved (as a widow) with her son Augustus, to San Jose, CA. I cannot find a death record for Mary (Leddy) Mullen but my father says that she lived at least until 1900 (since she used to take my grandfather, Earl Mullen, to church until he was about 7 or 8.
