SHAW - Daniel twin son of Duncan McGilthighnich or Shaw and Margaret (Kate) Galbreath born 1809 at Rothesay, Bute, Scotland. Daniel married Anne McMurchie in 1832 and had children Flora, Margaret, Ann, Neil, William, and Robert. Anne died c1841 He then married Agnes (Ann) Blue in 1844 and they had a daughter Jane. In 1853 Daniel, Agnes, Neil, William (not sure if he went), Robert and Jane emigrated to Australia on the Shackamaxon. They settled in Bald Hill, E Kyneton, Victoria where Daniel was a farmer and he died in 1860. Neil travelled to family in New Zealand shortly after his father died but nothing is known of what happened to the rest of the family. Did they stay in Australia or to to New Zealand too?
