I’m researching the Thomas and Caplinger lines in Indiana. Ferdinand Thomas and his wife Amelia Hausen, both born in Germany, died of cholera in Jefferson County, Indiana around 1849. Their son Frederick Adolph Thomas was born 17 Feb 1846 in Lawrence Furnace, Lawrence, Ohio. English translation from German of a baptismal certificate.
