Surname Pew/Pewe/Peugh/Pugh Josephus Pew b. around 1812 in Loudoun County, m. Frances Lantz in Guernsey County, Ohio. children: George Aug. 13, 1835; Sarah Jane June 23, 1837; Samuel Mar. 4, 1839; Daniel Jan. 11, 1841; and Julia Anne April 1, 1844. All the children were born in Ohio. Frances died on April 20, 1846 and Josephus married Clarinda Elizabeth Black on Dec. 1, 1846 in Ohio. The family then moved to Iowa, Iowa County, Dayton Township where Josephus and Clarinda died, Josphus on Jan. 16, 1894 and Clarinda on Jan. 16, 1896. They are both buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Dayton Iowa. I am seeking Josephus's parents and/or any information about him. I have traced back to his marriage in 1834 but can't seem to find anything befor that. | |||||||||||||||||||||
