Hello again my name is Sylvia Aitchison. A while back I posted a query regarding my Gr Gr grandperents William and Margret Beaton. At that time I was asking for information on their birthplace. Since then we have discovered that William Beaton was born August 22nd 1816 in Culsamond,Aberdineshire, Scotland. His Parents were Peter Beaton and Margaret(Cooper)Beaton both born around 1780 in Rayne Aberdineshire Scotland. They were married on the 3rd of September 1807. As well as William they also had eight other children as follows Peter:born Nov14th 1809, Charles born Mar 25th 1812,Elizabeth born May 14th 1814,William(our grgrgrandfather1816), Alexander born Nov14th 1819, John born Apr.22nd 1822, Gordon born AUG 10TH 1824,Thomas born July 13th 1827 and finally(as I'm sure my grgr grandmother would agree)came George bornFeb.9th 1830. Of all these siblings we think that at least four of them stayed in Scotland. We have found Alexander for sure. We found record of his marriage His wife's name was Agnes. He never left Aberdineshire as his death notice indicates that he died in 1918 in Culsamond. He(Alexander ) had six Children Elizabeth born May 12th 1845,She died in 1943 but we don't know where. Margaret born Nov4th 1846, Alexander born June3rd 1849 Agnes born Jan.31st 1851 William born Feb.23rd 1854 and Mary born Mar.14 1859. I guess my question now would be if there is anyone out there who feels they may have some connection to any or all of these people please feel free to contact me at the email address provided.
