Query Text: |
Seeking evidence of relationship between brothers Samuel and Simon ROSENBAUM, and Mannes (aka Magnus, Menz, M.)ISRAEL of Kalamazoo, circa middle 1800's. Believed to be cousins, but not verified. All emigrated from Pyrmont (now Bad Pyrmont),Waldeck, Niedersachsen, Germany. In 1860 (per Federal census) they were living under the same roof in Kalamazoo. It is known that Israel, born in 1819, came to the U.S. first, in 1841, living first in New York and then in 1847 in Kalamazoo; he died in 1868. Simon Rosenbaum, born in 1832, came to Kalamazoo to work for Israel in 1855; he died in 1905. Samuel, born in 1838, followed in 1857, but lived first in Three Rivers before moving to Kalamazoo; he died in 1903. Family lore has them as cousins, but not verification ever found. Will appreciate any information on any of these men. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
