I am looking for the birthplace (town/parish)in Co. Laois (formerly Queens Co,) Ireland of THOMAS DULANY/DELANY/DELANEY, b. 1662 in Co. Laois. I am 8th generation in the U.S., descended from Thomas who arrived in Baltimore, MD, betwn 1704 & 1706, d. Baltimore County 1739. Buried Joppa, MD (?) He had two wives, both named Sarah. FIRST MARRIAGE: about 1681 in County Laois or County Kilkenny. Children: Joseph, b. 25 March 1682, Kilkenny Ireland, d. 13 Sep 1769, Fauquier County VA. William, b. 1684 Ireland, d. 11 Apr 1745 Queen Anne, MD. Daniel, b. 1685 Ireland, d. 5 Dec 1753, buried St. Ann's Churchyard, Annapolis, MD. Thomas, b. 1689 Ireland, d. MD(?). SECOND MARRIAGE: Probably btwn 1700 & 1704, Ireland. Children: Elizabeth, b. 1723, Baltimore, MD. Dennis, b. 28 May 1731, Baltimore, MD, b. Georges Township, Fayette, PA. John, b. 11 Feb 1733, Baltimore, MD. I am searching for the town/parish where Thomas was born in Co. Laois, as well as the port from which he sailed to America and the name of the ship on which he booked passage around 1704 or 05 and arrived in Baltimore with his second wife and son Thomas, youngest child of his first wife Sarah. The three eldest sons of Thomas (from the first marriage) arrived in America two years earlier in 1703, apparently having difficulty getting along with their stepmother. I hope to trace my ancestry in Ireland, but do not know the specific place of birth of Thomas or that of either of his wives, nor have I been able to identify the parishes where either marriage took place.
