I am looking for information about Dr. George Smith, born in 1848 in Meade County, Wolf Creek, KY. Son of William and Margaret Smith. Brother of Abran, Lydia, Issac, Franklin, Rufus, Jennie, Dora and John. John (1860-1941) is my grandfather. George moved to Missouri and practiced medicine in Houstonia and Elmwood. He married Mary (Mollie) Longan of Pettis County, Missouri on April 13, 1875. They had a daughter, Margaret and a son, Gaillard. Mollie died in Feb., 1879. These children were raised by her parents and brothers. George Married Sallie L. Pollard of Brownsville, MO, now Sweet Springs.
