Looking for information on a Michael Joseph Kearney/Carney born in County Down Ireland c. 1860. His parents were Peter Kearney and Catherine (either Marshall, McKeown, or Larkin) very possibly from the Aghaderg Parish. Peter Kearney died 23-November-1889 and he was residing in Newry on Edward Street at the time. Peter's wife Catherine (nee Larkin) Kearney died 3-March-1903 and she was residing in Belfast at 116 Ardilea Street at the time. Her son/step-son Michael emigrated to the USA (NY) in 1881. Michael married Anna E. Warnock in Lowell Massachusetts in 1886. Annie was also born in Ireland (c. 1861) and possibly County Down. Her parents where Richard Warnock and Mary (?). Michael had at least three brothers; James C. Kearney (b. October-1855), Peter Kearney (b. August-1858, d. 25-August-1906 in Newry), and John Carney (b. 05-Jan-1864 in Ballinaskeagh/Ballynaskeagh) and one sister; Catherine (nee Kearney) Lynch (b. 17-Jun-1865 also in Ballinaskeagh/Ballynaskeagh). Michael and Annie settled in Lowell and had two sons (Joseph F. and William H.). Michael (d. 11-June-1930) and Annie (d. 15-January-1941) are both buried in St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell. Michael's brother James Kearney married Agnes O'Neill (father Peter O'Neill, mother Mary ?) in 1888 in Lowell and his other brother John Carney married Ann Murphy (father James Murphy and mother Bridget ?) in Belfast on 26-December-1902. James (d. 25-December-1936) and Agnes (d. 21-September-1936) are also buried in St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell, and John (d. 9-June-1932) and Ann (d. 4-November-1944) are buried in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery in Pawtucket Rhode Island along with their only child Catherine Veronica (nee Carney) Mayette/Lamoureux (d. 28-July-1969) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
