I am trying to get information on my ancestors on my mothers side. My mother's maiden name was Veronica Loyer. (her parent's were not married) Her mother's name was Laura Loyer and her father's name was Pat Hamilton. My mother was born in I believe it was Fishing Lake, Alberta on June 22, 1913. My mother's parents both died when she was very young, around age 6 or 7. She went to live in a convent that was run by nun's in Northern Albera. She lived there with 2 siblings until about age 11. There she met a nun who would become my aunt (Sister Marie Alberta) and my mother went to live with the nun's parents, Corbert and Mary Jane Ross. My mother then married their son Paul Wilfred Ross on Feb 1, 1932. They had 7 seven children and lived in Meadow Lake, Sk. until 1956 when they moved to Prince George, B.C. I am one of those 7 children, Emma Thielmann. I would really appreciate any information you can find. I have been told some of my ancestors are from Ireland and others of metis descent.
