My great grandfather by the name of Patrick Jordan was born abt 1829 in Killala, County Mayo. In 1848, the year of the immigrant fever, he came to Canada and settled in Winchester, Dundas County, Ontario where he married Elizabeth Becker and had 11 children. I have reason to believe that his parents immigrated to Canada around 1855 settling in the same area. His father's name was Thomas Jordan and his mother's name was Margaret Hellis or Hillis.
