I am looking for any information especially parents name for Lewis Jones born circa 1770 in Washington County, Virginia. He married Christina Walters on July 2, 1775 in Wythe County, Virginia. His first child was christened in the Kimberlin Luthern Church in Wythe County, Virginia in 1797. On the christening records his name is given as Johannes Ludwig Jans. I think his name was Americanized to John Lewis Jones. I also believe that his wife, Christina, was the daughter of George Walters and Christina Crewey. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
