My third great grandfather was Bethune Dunkin Payne born 20 Nov. 1844 in Metuchen, Middlesex, New Jersey. I have his death cert. stating his parents names were Thuney D. Payne and L. Pa. I don't know what his mother's name stands for. I have heard rumors Thuney's real name is Thomas but not sure on that. Bethune D. Payne died 5 April 1925 in Rosita, Colorado. He married at one time Sarah Belle Akin b: 7 Feb. 1858 in New Orleans and died 9 June 1932. Bethune and Sarah divorced. They had two children together: Bethune Calvin Payne and Willetta B. (Payne) Clift. After they divorced B.D. adopted Lois Nettie Payne. I want to find out B.D. parents and if he had any siblings. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
