Still seeking information on Lula E. MOFFITT. Dob: abt 1884. Parents are: John Moffitt and Mary Susie?(last name unknown)John and Mary Susie's children are: Lula E. Moffitt b:1884, John Talmadge Moffitt b:Sept.3, 1887 at Henderson co, TN, m: Hattie Mae JAMES, d/o John R. James and Dissie Jane PAGE. Orville Moffitt b:Oct 21, 1895, m:Maggie Page then Rosa Pugh DARTY. These children were the grandchildren of John Moffitt, the blacksmith that moved to Texas and died in that state. Lula Moffitt married Charlie BRAY in Henderson co, TN on Dec. 24th, 1899 Their children are: Ruby Bray M: Wade Henry HALL, Bettie E. Bray M: John R. SINGLETON, William O. Bray, Ivie Bray, M: Will P. Singleton, Lillie Sue Bray M: WOOTEN, died in RING GOLD GA, M.JEWELL Bray, Carl V. Bray, died May of 1999 in Hamilton co, Chattanooga, TN. A 1920 Census shows the family together, however a 1930 Hamilton co, TN census lists a Mary Bray, Head, widowed, born in MISS with Lula and Charlie Bray's children. They are listed as Mary Bray's children.This cannot be Lula Bray, age, name does not add up. It is thought Lula lived in Chattanooga died around 1960's, speculated that she remarried, no soc/sec death search lists her as Lula Bray. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
