Actually, this more of an announcement. My McCain direct-line ancestors lived in Clarion Co. until 1882 (&, in fact, some relatives still live in the area). Great-Granddad Adam Boice McCain began a series of diaries in 1862. The first one (1862-1863) and the "travel diaries", of the moves from PA to IA to DT (Dakota Territory) (1882-1884) have been recorded, including INDEXING). Free copies via CDs. Charles E. Gates
