MATTERN adopted by grandparents never went by nor did his sister my g grand Rosetta , Catherine HEARE BAINTER) Family lore is that Charles, died in an accident , need verification of this, where it was sometime during or after 1833 and before Oct 1885? Rosetta, was born 31 Aug 1883 Mary Catherine Heare remarriied her 2 husband Daniel MERRITT 13 Oct 1885 {her third husband was Samuel Edward PARKER whom she married 27 Jan 1890} Descendants of Charles T. Mattern Generation No. 1 1. Charles T.1 Mattern1 was born Abt. 1860, and died Bef. Oct 1885. He married Mary Catherine Abigail Heare Bet. 1877 - 1882 in prob. Clark Co., OH, daughter of Jonathan Heare and Mary Poling. She was born 21 Jul 1860 in Three Churches, Hampshire Co. VA ( now WV), and died 03 May 1898 in Madison Township, Clark Co., OH.
