Searching for Noah/Noey Hendrix and Mattie Jones. Mattie was b. Apr. 1874 to William Thomas Jones and Martha Cordell Wiginton in MS. We do not know who Noah's parents were. We have the 1900 census in Prentiss, Co. MS. with Noah and Mattie together but on it Noah didn't know where or when he was born. Mattie died in 1910 of a gunshot wound to the head. Noah and Mattie had 4 boys together Oliver Bornie Warn Hendrix b.1901 Tupelo, MS. d. 1958 Butler, Co. MO., Andrew Jackson Hendrix b. 1903 Corinth, MS. d.Stoddard, Co. MO., Twins James and Charles Hendrix b.approximately 1909 in MS. James died in infancy of a fever and Charles was given to a family in Alabama by Noah right after Mattie died. It is unknown where he is now or if he is still alive. Oliver was my Grandfather. He raised his family in Butler, Co. MO. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
