I am looking for Connolly's in the area of Raphoe, County Donegal. Also records that could help with search. The following family immigrated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It appears all traveled from the port of Derry to Philadelphia: Owen Connolly 1790 Anna Connolly 1789 Martin Connolly 1814 John Connolly 1819 (with wife Susanna McDonough) Sarah "Sally" Connolly 1824 (with husband James McLaughlin and daughter Sarah 6 mos) Charles Connolly 1829 Mary Connolly 1832 All immigrated in 1848 except Martin who immigrated in 1839. We are told they lived on a farm in Ireland but all went into the Bakery, Grocery business in Pittsburgh. Possibly related to Timothy Connolly shown as a Grocer, Baker & Haberdasher in Raphoe in 1846 Slater's Directory. The following family came to Pittsburgh on or about 1867: Charles Connolly 1799 Ann O'Doherty Connolly 1808 John Connolly 1837 Patrick Connolly 1839 William M. Connolly 1839 James Nelson Connolly 1843 Charles S. Connolly 1847 Ellen M. Connolly 1852 Charles shown as a retired merchant. May possibly be the same Charles Connolly listed in 1846 Slater's Directory living in Letterkenny. Any information/help greatly appreciated. James McGettigan 1820 was a Baker in Philadelphia. His wife was Catherine 1826.
