I have been told I am a decendant of Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederacy during the civil war. I never knew my father Jesse Robert Davis and need help researching his side of my lineage. He lived for a time in Del Norte, Colorado, was the older brother of William(Bill)Davis and John Davis and of Ruth Wortman. He married my mother, Betty Clagett, in 1944 or 1945
