I am helping a friend in her search for family information on her mothers side. Her relatives were Polish Jew who arrived in London around the year 1885. She believes that they arrived by ship to the Port of London. The names may have been simplified upon arrival - but at present we have no proof of this. Any advice and help would be most welcome.
