Looking for information on Rev. L. Y. BROWN. He was pastor at First Baptist Church in Sabinal, TX from 1906 and died while at Sabinal in 1907. From Association records I learned that he was pastor at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Hood County, TX (Paluxi Association) in 1905. That Association office has no further information, as as best I can determine, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church no longer exists. I am still pursuring an inquiry with the Hood County Genealogical Society, but no luck so far. I have searched the archives of the newpaper in Uvalde (county seat when he died in 1907) as well as the Baptist Historical Society in Dallas, but have found no further records of this man.
