First Baptist Church of Sabinal, TX (Uvalde County) is seeking information on a former pastor - Rev. J. W. Daniel. This is all the information we have been able to find: Rev. J. W. Daniel as pastor at Sabinal Baptist Church in 1903, as recorded in the Uvalde Baptist Association Minutes from that year. At the same time he also pastored at Utopia, and had a Utopia mailing address. The Baptist Historical Commission's records show that in the late 1800's and early 1900's he pastored in Matagorda, Tres Palacios, Stockdale, Lavernia, Pleasant Valley, Sardis, Prairie Lea, Seguin, High Point, Hattelsville, Elgin, Alice, Beeville, and Belgan. In 1907 he was listed in the Uvalde Association minutes as being 'seated as a corresponding messenger from the Western Branch Association'." We would like to find additional information about Rev. Daniel; i.e., dates of birth and death, places of birth and death, name of wife and/or children, any other information. We would very much like to locate a picture of Rev.
