I kep finding passenger and ship list's for America, but where are the sites for passengers and ships from the UK to Australia before 1860. I am trying to find the ship that my ancestors came on and the Victorian state library, Australia has not got the whole list eetc. Can you help? My GG Grandad is listed as being born in England in Dec 1848, but has another brother listed as being born Aug 1848. I think someone has put either my GG Grandad in the wrong family or he may have been adopted. Also what site can I go to to find out if he was adopted into the family? GG Grandad's name is Joseph William Raynor Pomeroy(Pummeroy now)in St Andrew, Undershaft, London. His brother Alfred Benjamin Pomeroy born in St Dunstan august 1848. The family came to australia in about 1843, went back to england inbetween 1844 and 1848, then was back in Australia in 1851 to give birth to another child and remained in Australia. I know I have given a lot of information but this is where I am stuck, If you could give me some sites that are not American ( since my ancestors never went there?)I would be eternally greatfull.
