MIRANDA

Query Text:

I am researching the surname 'Casiano'. The name is common in Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Central America, Mexico and Puerto Rico. In Puerto Rico, a don Juan Casiano was alcade in the year 1675 in the town of San German. Alonzo Casiano was in the militia rolls for the year 1700in San German. Juan Manual Casiano married Teresa Miranda circa 1790 in San German. There were many Casiano's in the San German area throughout the next 150 years and the name spread out into the south western part of Puerto Rico. Where did original Casiano come from?
