My name is Melanie Paschal-Lockhart and I am desparately trying to find out my family history. I am looking for information about my Grandfather James Paschal and his family. My Grandfather James was born in Atlanta GA (I'm not sure of the year) by his parents Joshua Paschal and his Mother whose name was Jack or Jackie, I believe. James Paschal moved to Chicago, IL and married my Grandmother Marjorie Nelson back in the 1940s. From this union were born two boys; Ronald M Paschal (my Uncle) and Rodney T Paschal (my Father). James Paschal worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and was a guitarist who is said to have played for Satchmo. My Grandfather James died back in 1958 at the age of 39 from an apparent heart attack. No one knows for sure seeing as autopsies weren't performed back then. All of my life I've been searching for answers about my family.
