Query Text: |
Searching for the death and burial site of Samuel M. Phillips. He is in the 1870 census in Val Verde County Texas. He was born in 1833 in Smithville, DeKalb County, Tennessee. His parents were Sarah League Phillips and Martin Phillips. Sam was severly wounded in the Battle of Perryville, Ky., in the War Between the States, and was discharged after the Battle of Stones River in Murfreesboro, Tn. in 1863. I can't find him after 1870. In that census, he was living in the household of his older sister, Mary Pafford and her husband. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
