I (Yoon Kyung Ae) am searching for anyone who has information about our birth families. My sister and I were adopted through Holt, Seoul Korea, through Star of the Sea baby home near Seoul. We do not know how we ended up at Star of the Sea, but I was around 6 months old, and my sister was around 1 year 9 months. Both my sister (Yoon Mei Ae) and I were adopted together in the winter of 1979. Our birthdays are October 7, 1977 and January 9, 1976. My sister has a more dark complexion, while mine is fair. My sister spoke very little Korean (baby words mostly), while I did not speak any. With us from Korea we had a green nylon handled bag. Inside we were both given little Korean rubber shoes w/ a rainbow stripe, and one traditional ceremonial dress with a rainbow sash and embroidered cranes. The dress has a green top, and the bottom is red. It also came with a little purse. Whether this came from the Star of the Sea, or some other person, we do not know. We did not come with any photos or information previous to our adoption. We would greatly appreciate any information. Thank you.
