Seeking info on these descendents. Any help appreciated REBECCA ANN LAMB and JOHN Q OVERMAN Little is known at this time about the family of Rebecca Ann Lamb. The daughter of Hezekiah Lamb and Hannah Small, she was born in 1852, in Grant Co, IN. She was married 21 Mar 1871, to John Q Overman, born 28 July 1843, in Grant Co., IN, son of Stephen Overman and Polly Moorman. From an old partially complete letter written by Walter V. Overman, and quoted in Mormon Archives, it states that John got his middle initial while in military service. This raises the possibility that he was in the Civil War. They moved from Marion, IN, to Beatrice, NE, where Ann had a millinery shop. According to Walter V Overman, widow Ann and girls were living in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a few years before 1927. At the time of her brother Hale’s death in 1932, Rebecca was living in Leavenworth, KS. One of sons disappeared and they never knew what happened to him. Chn: 1. Grant Overman, born probably about 1872 2. Mabel Overman, who married ___ Cunningham 3. Bertha Overman 4. Charles Overman 5. Maude Overman, a fine painter 6. Raymond Overman | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
