I am looking for a John Walter (Wolter) that was born in Mecklenburg, Germany around 1825. He filed his Declaration of Intention in Berrien County, Michigan in 1857. He had a son Fred that came over with him and married a Mary Boat, who had a son Charles. Mary and John had another son, Theodore. I am looking for any information about parentage, siblings, baptism, etc. I believe that John came from the town of Crivitz, Mecklenburg, Germany.
