I'm looking for more info. about ALICE WHITLEY. Her parents were Christopher Columbus, Jr. WHITLEY (12/5/1874-12/6/1934 and Laura MCGEE (7/24/1871-9/2/1960.) Both parents were born in OBERLIN, LOUISIANA. ALICE WHITLEY was born 4/20/08, possibly in La., but not sure. She married IVY JIMMY GRIFFIN sometime around 1925-26. They had a daughter IVA WAURINE GRIFFIN on 8/17/1927 in KERRVILLE, TEXAS. Later, ALICE WHITLEY GRIFFIN died in KERRVILLE, TEXAS on 1/19/1931. I would like to get a copy of ALICE WHITLEY's birth cerificate if I knew where she was born. If anyone knows where her family was living around the time of her birth (1908), please let me know. I believe it to be Louisiana, but not sure of the town/parish. Also, if anyone knows where the C.C. WHITLEY family was living in the mid-1920s, please let me know. I want to try to find out where ALICE WHITLEY and IVY JIMMY GRIFFIN were married. I believe it to be either Louisiana or Texas, but don't know city/county.
