John Whaite born c1823 migrated to South australia in 1848 as a single man . occupation fisherman,wharf labourer. Thought to have come from Manchester UK but no written proof of this.I have a photo of him taken c1890 Married to Elizabeth Boyd in Adelaide in 1850. Lived at Alberton died in 1892 buried cheltenham cemetery
