Looking for info on DESIRE YORK LINNELL b.1791 Standish,Maine, d.4-22-1858 Magalloway,Maine. I need proof that she was Native American(ABENAKI). She married 1809 in Bethel,Maine ISRAEL LINNELL (b.1782 Standish,Maine, d.1871 Manchester,NH). They had a daughter:ANNA VIANA LINNELL b. 1814 (thought to be ABENAKI). She married SAMUEL LOMBARD (b.1810 Hebron,Maine). DESIRE and ISRAEL also had a son, (believed to be ABENAKI) LORENZO DOW LINNELL b. 1825 Bethel,Maine and married PHEBE MUNSON b. 1829 Calias,Maine. My ancestors are the "LOMBARDS and the "LINNELLS", so if I can prove the race of DESIRE YORK, then it would solve the ABENAKI mystery on both sides of my family. See also my MARY SAVAGE JONES query.
