I am looking for parents and siblings of Alexander ACHESON, born 1831/37 (4 sources, 4 dates!) in Ireland. He went to Canada--I don't know when, or was he with anyone--and married Margaret McLEAN in Brantford, Ontario, 3 Jul 1861 (no more details on the marriage record--ARGH! I do have Margaret's siblings and parents). He spent the rest of his life there, dying 11 Oct 1889. Children were Minnie b 1862, Robert Alexander abt Jul 1865, Annie abt 1868, William James abt Apr 1873, Alexander 8 Feb 1876, Maggie Louise 30 Oct 1877, Thomas Henry 1878. There was also a Hannah ACHESON in Brantford at the same time, born about 1835 in Fermanagh, Ireland. Her parents were Alexander and Penelope Acheson. Given that the Acheson name was not common in Brantford, and their proximity in ages, and the name of her father, I'm thinking Hannah and Alexander might have been siblings. Still working on that.
