I have recently located an ancester in the British 1861 census who was born in the West Indies, St. Vincent. It also says he was a British Subject. He was also living in England in the 1841 census (in Bingham, Notts.) I am trying to find out who his family were, why he was born in St. Vincent and why he moved to England. In 1861 he was 41 years old, married to Anne Footit and had at least 7 children (Mary Ann, Annette, Fanny, Lucy, Rachel, Thomas and Jane). Any help would be appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
