My Father, Marshall Eugene Baldwin was born 12/19/1907 in Racine Wisconsin. There was a period of time prior to 1930 when he wrote for one of the Racine Newspapers. I was also told he did Sports Broadcasting. Unfortunately, he is deceased and I would really love to find out some information about his articles or his broadcasting. I have tried searching on the internet but so far I have found nothing. He was living in Cincinnati by the 1940's. I know he lived in Oak Park IL with my Aunt Dorothy and her husband in 1930 according to the Census. My Aunt had a bad heart and my Uncle traveled a lot so they had my Dad come to live with them in order to help my Aunt with her baby. I do know that he was Editor of the Norwood , OH newspaper for some time but I am not sure of the exact dates. After he retired he wrote for a Suburban paper. I read his articles but never had any to keep. I wrote to the papers in Cincinnati but got no response. My cousin said my Dad did sports broadcasting in Racine in addition to writing for one of the papers there. I didn't bother to ask much until my Father was older. At that point it was difficult to get much information from him. I regret that and the fact that when my Grandmother came to Cincinnati from Wisconsin that I didn't ask her much. She was 91 when she moved in with my parents. I spent time with her. She was very alert and had many interests. She loved politics, football and baseball. I really wish I had been interested in Genealogy at the time. Unfortunately, I didn't start my research until about 1980. She died in 1969. My Grandfather died before I was born. I have to rely on my cousins. who are much older than I, for information Suggestions are most welcome.
