Searching for info on my grandfather Samuel Bell known to have worked as a farm laborer on the Vestle Dimmit farm in Poweshiek County, Iowa during the period 1914 - 1918. Samuel Bell most likely born ca 1890 - 1895. Was said to have "come up from Missouri to work". I do not know if that means he was originally from Missouri or he had simply worked temporarily in Missouri before he came to Iowa. Do not know where he went after he left the Dimmit farm, but he did come back to visit the Dimmit's occasionally after he left their employ. Samuel was said to have brown eyes.
