I am searching for my birth mother. I was born with the given birth name of Mary Carloss. My adoptive name is Jennifer Ann Cooksey. I was born on September 1st, 1970 in Little Rock, Arkansas. The final adoption decree was December 17, 1970. My adoptive parents are John and Patricia Cooksey and were from El Dorado, Arkansas at the time of the adoption. I am 5'3" tall, 120lbs, red hair and brown eyes. The birth mother would have been 17 to 19 years old we believe. The adoption was done through Family and Children's Services of the Dept. of Public Welfare in Arkansas. The attorney's which handled the case were Shackleford And Shackleford, Attorney's At Law. The final decree was done through the Probate Court of Union County, Arkansas. The Probate Judge APPEARS to have been Henry Young, Jr. (but is difficult to read). The Probate Clerk on the decree was Madelyn Atkinson. I am in the process of trying to get non-identifying information about my birth mother now, but do not have it yet.
