Seeking information on the rescue of survivors of the JULY 18, 1694 FRENCH & INDIAN MASSACRE of OYSTER RIVER PLANTATION (modern DURHAM, NH). Many were carried off to Canada and enslaved. A number of the remaining survivors were observed on the beach by a passing ship and transported to BREWSTER, MA where they were given refuge and settled.
