Looking for marriage info on Margaret Court and Dill (or Deliverance) Wheeler. Also looking for any information on Dill Wheeler born 1780-1790 and died 1835-1840. I've seen some family trees posted that list this father as Deliverance Wheeler, but I can not find a confirming source. He appears in the 1830 Cato, Cayuga, NY census living next door to Margaret Court's father, John Court. They had 7 or 8 sons and lived in Cato, Cayuga County, NY. Margaret was the daughter of John Court, a revolutionary war veteran, and Lydia Wright. Lydia Wright was the daughter of Earl Mathew Wright Sr. and Esther Lewis. I believe Dill died between 1835 and 1840. Margaret remarried William Sturgis and continued to live in Cato. I have no other information about Dill Wheeler. I'm stuck. At least two of their Wheeler sons (Jason and Leonard M.) migrated to Oregon before 1850. They made a side trip in 1849 to San Francisco for the Gold Rush, but made an adventurous return via shipwrecked schooner and Indian encounters to settle in Linn County, OR. Brothers John C., George W., and possibly a brother Euphronius E. were in OR before 1860. Brothers Perry O. and my ancestor, Doctor Franklin Wheeler, worked farms in Cayuga County until Margaret's death in 1872. Doctor Franklin may be his name, not a title. He was married to Mary Ann Bishop, had 12 kids, and migrated to Illinois by 1878. Perry migrated to Oregon before 1900.
