I am searching for my grandmothers "roots". ON the 1910 census it states she was born in North Dakota (she was living there at the time). Then when she crossed the border at North Portal into Canada it says on that document she was born in Denmark. I know the following: Her name (maiden) was Marie Sorensen, we believe her middle name was Kristine. She was born , we believe sometime between May 03 - 10, 1887. She married my grandfather, Peter Otto Kjarsgaard sometime between 1906 and the summer/fall of 1908...probably in North Dakota as my grandfather had homesteaded near Heaton and their first two children were born in Sykeston. I am trying to find out the following: Where she was born...who her parents were...when she was married...if she had any other family members, such as siblings etc. Any and all help appreciated.
