the descendants of Alexander Gregg. Between the information I have found online and what is written in the family bible, I have quite a bit of info on his descendancy but when it comes to Alexander himself and those before him I must say that I’ve hit the proverbial brick wall. Alexander spent the majority of his life in Cecil County. He Died in Harford County. Before I give you all the info I have, I should state that according to the Cecil Co 1880 census, Alexander’s mother (name unknown) was born in Delaware and his father (name unknown) was born in IRELAND. This leads me to believe that he is NOT one of the “Quaker Greggs” that settled in the PA/MD/DE areas in the 1600’s and 1700’s. Here we go…. Alexander R. Gregg B. 10/10/1822 in Maryland (County unknown) D. 8/24/1899 Harford County (Buried in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Cecil co.) First marriage: 10/14/1847 (place unknown) to Margaret Ann Barton Children from this marriage: Joseph Warren Gregg B. 8/22/1848 Anna Elizabeth Gregg B. 9/27/1849 Mary Jane Gregg B. 8/16/1851 Sarah Rebecca Gregg B. 10/5/1852 Second marriage: 9/12/1853 (place unknown) to Miranda A. E. Scarborough B. 4/17/1828 D. 2/8/1901 Harford County (buried in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Cecil Co.) (Miranda sometimes went by Anna or Anna E.) contact me for further information | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
