At the time Joe Sr. wrote his will, Joe Jr. was deceased. I know that Joseph Jones Jr. moved to the Southern part of Alabama around Pike and Butler Counties abt 1820. He is listed on the 1850 Pike County census on pg 17, house 99.
Joseph Jones Jr. had a son named Isham B. Jones who married Minerva Rambo. He also had a son named Samuel and a daughter named Susan and Matilda. He also had a daughter named Martha Ann Jones who was married in 1846 to James D. Rainer. Thus, she is never listed by name on any census with him. So many times, she is the forgotten daughter.
I have several letters written by Isham B. Jones after he moved to Texas. He wrote to his mother and sister, Martha, who resided in Butler County, AL.
Anyway, I am hoping there is someone out there who can offer more information on the family of Joseph Jones Jr., his wife's family, his children, and their children.
I do have a lot of information on his daughter Martha and her children and I would be happy to share with anyone who is interested.
